Kamal, Bir Shrestha Mohammad Mostafa (1947-1971) Martyr freedom fighters He was born in 1947 in West Hazipara village of Daulatkhan upazila in Bhola district. His father Mohammad Hafiz was a military handman. Mostafa Kamal escaped from the house on 16 December 1967 and joined the East Bengal Regiment. After the training, he was appointed to 4 East Bengal Regiment, Comilla. A few days before the Liberation War in 1971, Sebahi Mustafa Kamal was promoted as an honorary Lance Naik.
In the fierce political atmosphere of 1971, the Pakistani authorities deployed 4 East Bengal Regiment in Sylhet and Brahmanbaria on the pretext of controlling internal turmoil. Underwent Pakistani plot, along with some Bengali soldiers, Major Shafayet Jamil Regiment captain Lt. Colonel Khizir Hayat Khan and all Pakistani officers and soldiers were arrested.
Then they took the position of defense under the leadership of Major Khaled Mosharraf, near the Anderson Canal in Ashuganj, Ujnisar and Brahmanbaria. On April 14, the Pakistani army launched a three-way attack on the defense position of the 4th Bengal Regiment of the Mukti Bahini by helicopter gunships, naval gunboats and F-86 aircraft. Mustafa Kamal was a section commander of Alpha Platoon 2 of Alpha Company, engaged in the village of the village of Gangesagar Defense.
From the morning on April 17, the Pakistani army started the intense shelling of platoon positions. About 20-25 casualties of Pakistani soldiers in Mustafa's firing and their progress slowed down. The Pakistanis are desperately trying to fire machine guns and mortar on the positions of Mustafa Kemal. At one stage, the bullets of Mustafa Kemal's LMG collapsed and he was critically wounded. Then Pakistani soldiers came to the trench and killed him with bayonet.
The people of the darwin village buried Mustafa Kamal beside the place of his martyrdom. In recognition of his bravery and sacrifice, the government of Bangladesh awarded him the highest state award 'Bir Shrestha'.
